What should I do if the motor overheats during use? Posted by : admin / Posted on : Oct 10,2025

1. Reduce the motor load

Overload is the main cause of motor temperature rise. Promptly reducing cutting resistance or replacing pruning shears with appropriate power can effectively reduce temperature rise.
2. Improve heat dissipation measures

Install a heat sink or fan to increase the heat dissipation area of the motor. If using a liquid cooling system, increase the cooling medium flow rate to improve heat dissipation efficiency.
3. Check the bearing and lubrication condition

Bearing wear or impurities mixed with grease will cause additional friction and cause bearing overheating. Clean the bearings and refill them with appropriate grease. Replace damaged bearings if necessary.
4. Enable or replace the overheating protection device

Modern pruning shears often have built-in PTC thermistors and temperature monitoring relays. When the temperature reaches a set threshold (such as 155°C), the power is automatically cut off to prevent further heating. If the protection device fails, the corresponding component should be replaced immediately.
What are the safety precautions when using a HedgeTrimmer?
Safety precautions when using a HedgeTrimmer
1. Equip a protective cover or net

According to ISO 10517, pruning shears must be equipped with a protective cover or net to prevent users or bystanders from accidentally touching the high-speed blades.
2. Use a safety switch and locking mechanism

A double-button safety switch or twist lock ensures the machine is only activated when the handle is properly gripped and the switch is locked, reducing the risk of accidental operation.
3. Wear personal protective equipment

When operating, wear protective glasses, cut-resistant gloves, and protective shoes. Use earmuffs if necessary to prevent flying debris, noise, and accidental cuts.
4. Regular inspection and maintenance

Check that the blade fixing screws, handle connection, and charger comply with the GB4706 series of safety regulations. Replace worn blades or deteriorating batteries promptly to ensure the entire machine is in good working condition.
